Sandstone Golems
Sandstone Golems are defenders of Mulhorandi holy sites. Appearing to be carved of sandstone, they stand anywhere from 20 to 100 feet tall, bearing the visage of Mulhorandi gods or other mythical figures.
The secret of their construction is lost to time. Mulhorandi priests maintain that the gods themselves crafted the guardians, and it is not for man to know how they are formed and how they function.
Despite this edict, some artificers have studied the golems, and learned that their sandstone exterior is only a facade, covering a much sleeker metal golem within, whose chassis is formed of an unknown black solid, hard as steel but lighter, with innumerable crenelations revealing a complex inner working of wires and channels, all glowing with an eerie electric blue light.
To date, no one has recovered a significant portion of a sandstone golem.
